Some pertinent historical facts: In the last 7 years no winner has carried more than 55kg. 3 year-old’s have won 3 from 7 and barriers have not had a huge impact with winners coming from 17, 18 and 19. Barrier stats don’t usually mean a lot given the differing early tactical speed of each horse, however position in the run does. Interestingly no winner in this period has been an on-pacer with every winner being 8th or worse at the turn. This is because the pace is always on!
You can’t bet on statistics, but you can use them to weight ratings.
Those who fit the weighting criteria and are current overlays are MELITO, LATIN NEWS and ALBERT THE FAT.
