Wired Magazine has a fascinating article on how a big Wall Street firm is using algorithms and 21st century technology to revolutionise the sports betting industry.

Cantor Gaming bought out the biggest sports statistics and analysis firm in the States and has written a Wall Street inspired computer program to evaluate sporting events both pre-game and in-running.
